Throughout the country, the Tax and Customs Administration will carry out quick checks regarding the use of the Eurovignette, in particular of foreign lorries. That has been made known by Minister De Jager.

 
De Jager tackles 'black' credit card payments

Dutch Finance Minister De Jager has instructed the Tax Department to trace payments with anonymous 'black' credit cards in the Netherlands. This concerns special credit cards and pin debit cards linked to bank accounts in (former) tax havens.

Adjustment in agreement for avoidance of double taxation between Hong Kong and the Netherlands

The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong, Professor K.C. Chan, and the Minister of Finance of the Netherlands, Mr J.C. de Jager, signed a comprehensive agreement for avoidance of double taxation (hereinafter: CDTA) between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Kingdom of the Netherlands (hereinafter: the Agreement) on March 22nd, 2010.

European network against tax fraud

At the initiative of the Dutch and French governments Europe will introduce a new way to tackle tax fraud. A special network of fraud experts and digital exchange of data is to ensure that tax fraud is detected and combatted faster and more effectively.

 
Exchange of tax information with Uruguay, Mauritius and Brunei

The Netherlands has the intention to also exchange tax information in the future with Uruguay, Mauritius and Brunei. A proposal by Finance Minister De Jager to conclude a Tax Information Exchange Agreement with these three countries was approved by the Cabinet. This provides the Netherlands with extra means to combat undeclared savings and tax evasion.
