Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency: Year in review 2007
Friday, 01 February 2008
Foreign investments increased on a worldwide basis in 2007. Within the EU, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and France demonstrated resilience in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI). This is shown in the most recent figures issued by UNCTAD. In particular, the Netherlands posted good results with multinationals from emerging industrial countries such as India, Korea and China. Asian corporations are choosing the Netherlands more frequently as a strategic base of operations for European expansion, due to its strong commercial spirit, excellent location, state-of-the-art infrastructure, international orientation, and a tradition of innovation and creativity.
